Between a tourist route and a major summer event, it’s difficult to find your way around. Here’s how to organize your visit to the Champagne Route in Aube.

The essentials

  • The Champagne Tourist Route crosses the Côte des Bar, south of Aube.
  • The Route du Champagne en Fête is a one-off summer event, not to be confused with a visit to the estate.
  • Champagne Philippe Fourrier welcomes visitors for tours and tastings all year round, by appointment.

The Champagne tourist route in the Côte des Bar

The Champagne Tourist Route connects, through its different itineraries, the great vineyards of the region. In the Côte des Bar, south of Aube, it winds through the hillsides, wine-growing villages and valleys that make up this Pinot Noir terroir. It is one of the best ways to discover the diversity of the Champagne landscapes, far from the usual images of the Marne.

The Route du Champagne en Fête

Every summer, the Route du Champagne en Fête brings together the general public around a festive weekend organized in the Côte des Bar: tastings, activities and meetings with winegrowers punctuate this one-off event, different from a classic estate visit. The dates and the host village change each year: we invite you to consult the official information of the event to find out the current program.

Visit a champagne estate all year round

Apart from this summer event, many estates on the Côte des Bar, including Baroville, welcome visitors all year round for an estate visit and a tasting, most often by appointment. It’s a more intimate way to meet the winemaker and understand their work, without the crowds of a festival weekend.

A visit to Champagne Philippe Fourrier in Baroville

Established in Baroville since 1847, Champagne Philippe Fourrier is a négociant-manipulant and welcomes you to the estate for a visit and a tasting of our cuvées. Discover all of our Champagne range, and contact us to plan your visit: we welcome you from Monday to Friday and Saturday morning.
